There are six shires named *North-shire*, *South-shire*, *East-shire*, *West-shire*, *Up-shire*, and *Down-shire*. Players can join any shire they wish and change their allegiance whenever they want. Depending on the server link they use to join the game, they might be assigned to a specific shire. Being part of a shire means belonging to a smaller community within the broader Underpunk community. Each shire is associated with a specific corporation (though some corporations exist without being tied to a shire), and members can earn reputation points with their shire's corporation while participating in some activities. These reputation points later provide benefits such as discounts on in-game services and can be used with various game assets. Shires also serve as meeting points and host specific gameplay activities, although some activities like fishing can be enjoyed across different shires. Each shire is managed by one or more nobles, who can be recognized by their crown in their Names. These nobles are responsible for managing their community, guiding their squires (new shire members), and organizing various activities. South Shire - Zibethicus Corporation #### Owner(s) Weap and Fiordlander #### Lore The Zibethicus Corporation (ZCORP) was founded by the player ‘Weap’ on the 30th of November in the year 2021. **“Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.”** Starting with a rudimentary interest in upgrades and repairs, ZCORP will begin with a tiny workshop in Southshire. ZCORP is hoping to gain its first success from the flow of Miners who pass through Southshire on their way to **strike it lucky** in the Queen’s Quarry. The first product that ZCORP will produce is a LUCKY version of a beginner hand-mining tool, crucial to early life as an Underpunk. ZCORP also derives a passive income by leasing Southshire and earning COIN every time a player finds an NFT on that region. Another source of income for ZCORP is selling Land Deeds. There will only ever be a maximum of 18 Land Deed (of varying sizes) released every month. While the CEO is an active T6 supporter of Underpunks, ZCORP has access to 3 Land Deeds per month and one of those could be useful for upgrading the corporation itself. West Shire - Treasure Financials Inc #### Owner(s) SpiriBetter #### Lore Treasure Financials Incorporated (TFI) was founded by the player ‘SpiriBetter’ on the 30th of November in the year 2021. **“Treasure your finances, because we do.”** Treasure Financials Incorporated is founded on the bedrock of the oldest (now defunct) financial institution in the world of Underpunks. To secure its customers’ wealth, that first pre-apocalyptic bank used a crude ‘**map and treasure chest**’ system. Only the unfound buried treasure and a heavily coded master-map remain. The latter of which TFI will reproduce and distribute from its tiny Westshire scriptorium. This first product, A TREASURE MAP, will open up a whole new level of treasure-hunting gameplay to the World of Underpunks. TFI also earns a passive income by leasing Westshire and receiving in-game COIN every time a player loots an NFT on that location. The sale of land deeds is another source of revenue for TFI. Every month, a maximum of 18 Land Deeds (of varied sizes) will be distributed. While the CEO of Treasure Financials is an active T6 supporter of Underpunks, TFI has access to 3 Land Deeds per month and one of those could be used to upgrade the corporations' headquarters and production facility. Up Shire - Helios Exploration Group #### Owner(s) Cigale #### Lore The Helios Exploration Group (HEX) was founded by the player ‘Cigale’ on the 30th of November in the year 2021. **“Reach the light of progress.”** The Helios Exploration Group’s eyes are fixed squarely on the Sun and the stars. It will start with a tiny factory producing rope and grappling hooks, with a greater objective of allowing any player to be the first to reach the planet’s surface. HEX aspires to accomplish its first success by outfitting expeditions with cutting-edge technology and the most secure climbing equipment. HEX also earns a passive income by leasing the Upshire region and receiving in-game COIN every time a player loots an NFT on that location. While exploration, combat, trade, industry and salvage expeditions can be undertaken in any shire, Upshire is the only one where a narrative of someone reaching the surface has been told. Another source of income for HEX is the selling of land titles. A maximum of 18 Land Deeds (of varying sizes) will be awarded each month. While the CEO of The Helios Exploration Group is a dedicated Underpunks T6 supporter, HEX will have access to three Land Deeds every month, one of which might be used to improve the corporation’s headquarters and manufacturing facilities. The Helios Exploration Group will have its own player base and will deliver a cross-platform experience that links other NFT art and games into the Underpunks experience.
